Episode 43: Claire Leslie
Claire Leslie — Capitol CMG Artist, Worship Leader, and the Voice Behind Twenty Something on Faith, Identity, and Living Original
Claire Leslie has been leading worship since she was 14 — and somewhere along the way, she realized that being fully herself was the most powerful thing she could offer the room.
A San Antonio-based singer, songwriter, and worship leader, Claire first built her following through raw, honest content on social media, where a string of videos during the pandemic connected with audiences around the world and grew her platform by over 600%. What drew people in wasn't production or polish — it was vulnerability. In a space full of noise, she was simply real.
In July 2024, she signed with Capitol Christian Music Group and released her debut label single "Original" — co-written with Jordan Sapp and Daniella Mason — followed by her debut EP Twenty Something in March 2025. Tracks like "Passenger Seat," "24/7," and "Thank God I'm Not Alone" have earned her more than 6.5 million streams and a growing community drawn to her authenticity, her warmth, and her willingness to write from exactly where she is.
In this episode of Hitting the Road, Claire opens up about what it looks like to build a career rooted in identity rather than trends, the journey from worship leader to signed artist, and why she believes the most powerful thing a creative can do is stop trying to sound like someone else. We also talk about the road — literally and figuratively — and what it means to keep showing up when the path is still taking shape.
If you love music that sounds like real life and artists who mean every word — Claire Leslie is exactly that.
